Give the Poor and the Hopeless A Reason to Go On

Almighty God, millions are dying in Africa and even the hopelessness of poverty is on our own doorstep in Canada, and the U.S. See the mother crying because their child is dying of malnutrition. See the student in your town, city or village who could escape the vicious cycle of poverty, if people banded together and paid for their university education. The life you help change could in turn change many others. Father, help us to be there for those in need, to even be their hope for a while when they can hope no longer. Thank you for those who care for us in our hour of greatest need. Amen
