Fly like the eagle

eagle wings

My dear friends:

It is as I have been struggling to recover from asthmatic bronchitis, that the Holy Spirit gave me a thought which  brings me great comfort. I can shine my light even in illness. Through these thoughts the Holy Spirit speaks to my heart to share, I pray that you are given hope that beyond the darkness of your today there can be a far brighter tomorrow.

I admit there have been awfully difficult days. I have cried out to my Lord and asked those why questions many of us ask. Why me? Why do you think I can hold my faith together with all of these struggles You allow? Why aren’t You giving me all the medical and career supports I need? Why do Karen and I have to reach the end of ourselves before it feels to us like You take divine action?

It was through these soul-searching questions that this prayer poem came to share with you. I pray it reaches you where your heart of need is most felt.

Fly Like the Eagle

I am your Lord Adonai

I help you soar like an eagle through the sky

I use you in your greatest weakness

To reach people at the heart of where they are with Me

I have felt every tear you’ve cried

I have heard your deepest sorrow

There lies beyond what you can see now

Life unlike you have ever known it

A shining purpose I’m having others mentor you in

My child, please tell others who can’t walk or speak

That they can speak the universal language of love

A love that gives expecting nothing in return

A love that brings hope to weary souls

A love that can beat in every heart

Tell the abused, despised and rejected

That I love them

That they are the apple of my eye

Do My will while you yet be here

I will be with you all the way

I’ll be your hope, your strength, your stay

I’ll teach you all you need to know

I’ll tell you what to say

Of how my one and only Son did die for them

He shed His blood on that rugged cross

He counted all gain but loss

To bring salvation to all

That was our saviour’s call

And He calls to all today

To fly like an eagle through the sky

To do our Father’s will while they yet be here

And when their work on earth is done

Our Father will take them home on high

To be His angels in the sky

To be His angels in the sky

  1. Hi,

You will be in my prayers, my friend.

    Nancy
P.S. Oops, sorry about the LI request, or should I say lack there of. I get overwhelmed with all these social networks. I will go do the request now. 🙂

    • Hi Nancy

Thank you most kindly for your prayers. I am on an antibiotic for a sinus infection that has gone respiratory. I now have a doctor following me. His name is Dr. Eugene van Oselen. he trained at the University of Pretoria. He comes highly recommended as a caring patient-centred doctor.

I will be having a case conference on March 7th organized through my social worker for issues surrounding my health care. My pastor says he has never heard of such a thing happening in this area.

Please pray that even though I have issues with the support care I didn’t get, which worsened my health, that I will go into this meeting with a positive attitude of here I am with two open hands, asking for your help.

I will get across the point that if i’m given the care I need this will allow me to focus my energies on lessening and eventually hopefully eliminating my need for government disability.

I believe given this support that the educational and vocational goals God has put upon my heart are achievable.

You could help me by writing a recommendation about my writing on Mind’s Seat as a recommendation on Linkedin. Perhaps, you could connect me with people in the publishing industry of magazines and books I could present samples of my writing to.

I can also sing and write songs. Perhaps, you could introduce me to people who could help get my Christian hymns and songs I sing and write noticed.

There are many samples of my writing and singing on my professional gallery on Linkedin they can look at.

Nancy, I’m learning my way through all the rules and etiquette of social media. Social media just doesn’t allow you to connect with anyone you like. In my learning curve of Linkedin, i have learned one must follow their rules of contacting people. I am still learning.

Please let me know how I can be of the greatest blessing to you.

Have a Son-filled remainder of the week!

      Kevin

    • Hi Nancy

There’s some improvement since some friends sent me immune system boosters called mast cell stabilizers. It is one heck of an uphill battle getting help from the Ontario government for the cost even of my antihistamines, even though an allergy specialist prescribed them.

My government through the Ministry of Health rejected my coverage of a key medication I need called Singulair. Without it the allergist said I can expect reactions increasing in severity all the way up to anaphylactic shock.

Please pray that somehow I will get through to the government that people with chronic medical conditions need to have all of their medications covered. It’s really fiscally irresponsible of the government to do otherwise. Those who could have got off welfare or disability or reduced their dependence on it will end up staying on it.

Please pray that God will speak to the hearts He needs to about thisinjustice. Karen and I just can’t go on with the limited funds I currently get on disability with paying out hundreds of dollars for medications and treatments the government won’t cover.

Karen says when my health has improved and I start my Christian counselling practice, I will have no shortage of people to counsel. There are only a handful of Christian counsellors in all of northern Ontario. They are overloaded.

Please pray that the inroads the Enemy is making into people’s lives in northern Ontario because of having few Christian counsellors would change. Pastors can’t do the job by themselves. They need counselling support teams.

I have the training that I can even relieve pastors of leading worship and giving the sermon. They can instead be ministered to.

Thank you for taking the time to read my response to you.

Keep the healing thoughts and prayers coming!

      Kevin

P.S. I haven’t yet received a Linkedin request from you.
