Blessings in the storms

I have chills all over my body and great pain in my legs and arms.  We think as does Dr. Prousky, who is the Chief Medical officer at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, that all of this is a major flare up of my very rare auto immune condition of systemic mastocytosis. Referrals are in process to specialists in immunology, allergy and neurology.
We rest ourselves in the healing hands of the Great Physician. I believe that He is putting His medical team together, which will lead to greater levels of physical healing. For His Kingdom reasons I am on this journey.
I give thanks to God for having a fellow brother in Christ named Samuel Owusu nominate me for a Doctor of Divinity degree honoris causa and a diplomate honours certificate in counseling. These honours have been awarded by Dr. Heyward Ewart, who is the President of St. James the Elder Theological Seminary. http://stjamestheelderseminary.org/Home_Page.php I look forward to getting to know him more. You can read more about him at this link:
I ask you to pray into a vision that Brother Samuel has been given by God for a combined university and hospital in Ghana. Please pray that the financing will come for such a worthy endeavour. Let us all pray into that vision. Think of the great community outreach work that could be done as those who couldn’t afford it were given the education and health care to fly like the eagle as they soar with renewed hope in their hearts, that they will be free from their yoke of poverty, to see a far brighter tomorrow beyond their darkness of today.
I would kindly also ask you to pray that Samuel receives all the finances to support his graduate education in public administration at the University of Saskatchewan. He is a humble and loving man of God, who is a Christian leader to emulate by his living for Christ in all circumstances. He inspires me in both his faith and witness for our Lord Jesus Christ.
If a teenage girl named Malala Yousafzai can make a clarion call for us all to live in peace with one another then that should give us hope that working, believing and praying together we can change the world. We do that as we follow the wise counsel of Holy Scripture from the Psalmist David, that the Lord would create in us a new heart filled with a burning compassion for others. Let the Holy Spirit speak to your heart as you read these words.
Create in me a clean heart, O God,
And renew a steadfast spirit within me.
Do not cast me away from Your presence
And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.
Restore to me the joy of Your salvation
And sustain me with a willing spirit.
Then I will teach transgressors Your ways,
And sinners will be converted to You
Psalm 51:10-13, New American Standard Bible
Please listen to this spirit-filled song based on Psalm 51.
Karen and I have much to be thankful for. We have a warm, dry and beautiful home. We have been accepted into Master of Divinity training at Trinity College in the University of Toronto. He has provided the funds for my re-certification as a Christian counselor through the governing body of the Canadian College of Christian Counselors.  If you feel God’s call to be a Christian counselor, check out their web site at http://christiancounsellors.ca/cc/ for all the information on how to bring God’s dream for you from vision to reality.
God opened the door for me to be a graduate missions student at a prestigious distance school called South African Theological Seminary. If you are looking for a quality school that gives quality Bible-based, Christ-centered and spirit-led teaching and even offers programs entirely in French, check them out at:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PQeiGnvmTrk  and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2qbMWrscNfg

You will come out of their coaching with the tools to live life as more than a conqueror in Christ.
God has an awesome plan for your life! I pray with all of my heart that you believe that. No matter what we are going through we never go through it alone. Christ is with us through the storm. He will lead us from the raging sea of our distress to the calming waters of His peace.
Lord, create in us a new heart. Help us by Your abiding grace to shape us into the people You wants us to be. Give all people Your grace through their challenges. Let us extend to one another the outstretched hands of Christ’s love for all, as You teach us in the seminary of compassion what true love really means.
Lord, I thank You for all the people, our worldwide audience who reads our blogs and comments on them. You teach us all through how you show a persevering spirit in your struggles. God sees, hears and knows your heart and life. Keep close to His heart and He will shower blessings upon you unlike you have ever known!  I see that truth playing out in Karen’s and my life. Know that we pray for all of you every day that the holy and perfect will of God would be made known in your lives.
Father, keep us all close to Your heart. Let a song of praise be on our lips as we awake in the morning. Let us delve into the richness and beauty of Your Word with a passionate enthusiasm. Lord, we thank You for the message of its golden thread of redemption that is woven throughout its pages, the hope that the captive can be set free and all of us can be given eyes that see You in spirit and in truth.
Let us come to You with two open hands and willing hearts ready to receive Your love. Then, let each one of us give to the other our love and understanding.
Lift us up when we fall down. Through our times of joy and our times of tears keep us rooted and held fast by the firm anchor of Your abiding grace and peace.
Lord, we can’t make it through this life without You. Our human strength would surely fail us.
Hear us as we call to You when skies are grey and skies are blue. And while we do this let us always be loving You.
Amen.
