Can it be a wonderful world?

Mind's Seat

Can we truly have a just society? That was the call to action of Pierre Elliott Trudeau, former Prime Minister of Canada. It was the dream of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King. Mother Teresa called us to be drops in the ocean, creating a ripple effect of positive change in people’s lives. Jack Layton said just before he died,“My friends, love is better than anger. Hope is better than fear. Optimism is better than despair. So let us be loving, hopeful and optimistic. And we’ll change the world.”

The dream of  Martin Luther King,Mother Teresa,Trudeau and Layton can happen working together. We just need to always believe that. Then, we need to do the hard roll up our sleeves work to make their hope our own, so our children and their children can say we did not give into the critics, who say there is no hope for a brighter tomorrow.
